Best time for this hike: July to December
An easy (30 minute trek) along undulating terrain all the way to Turure River. Rating of this hike is (3) fair
This hike can only be done "IN THE RAINY SEASON"-- best time between September to December
Narrow trail throughout that is also very clear. There are (3) stream crossings along the way.
River trekking upstream through shallow waters throughout. One must always be careful of the slippery rocks whilst trekking upstream.
Approaching Turure Water-steps, there is a distinct difference of the rocks where the sight of “limestone” is present. That is the entrance to the Water-steps.
The first Water-step is a short waterfall with a small pool that can comfortably accommodate (4) persons at a time. A great shower type of falls which is great for shoulders and back therapy.
A short distance (2 minutes) upstream, there are a series of beautiful small pools great for having a soak with the majestic second Water-step in the background.
The second Water-step is great especially when you climb up the rock to meet the top of the huge rock whilst the waters continue to flow all over you.
The third Water-step is just above and here is where you will see the water flowing down the face of the rock into a small, but very deep pool of about 12 feet. On a clear day, this pool is emerald green and very majestic. One can also go to the top of this step and jump into the pool.
The fourth and final Water-step is the most attractive of all. The width of the rock is about 50-60 feet by 25 feet in height and on a rainy day, the entire width of this rock has water flowing down the face into a beautiful pool that can accommodate many people at a time.
For the adventurer, a further trek upstream for a further 25 minutes will bring us to another Water-step that is the tallest of them all, but no pool under, but natural rock formations here is simply dumbfounded.
