Lower North Oropouche River

North-eastern Trinidad

Best time for this hike: January - December

This hike is all about "WATER". From the start of the hike we will be water trekking all the way to the Gorge.

The duration of the water trek from the start to the Gorge will take for the most 35 minutes of easy trekking all along shallow waters until we eventually reach to the prominent limestone formations of the North Oropouche River course which makes here very special as far as natural beauty is concerned.

At the gorge....here is our final stop off point. Great swimming through deep waters of the gorge for swimmers and non-swimmers with the aid of life jackets will bring you to the other end. At the gorge, there are places where one can climb onto the rocks and either jump of dive into emerald green waters.

Life jackets will be provided upon request. Ropes and other safety devices will also be on hand.
