(Northern Range, Trinidad)
Best time for this hike: July - December
From the very quiet village of Rincon located in the mountains of Las Cuevas we head into the hills.
This hike is rated (5) moderately challenging due to the length of the walk to the waterfall and the bits of uphill, though not steep but constant.
Clean, clear trail throughout the walk from Rincon Village to a secluded pool half way to Habio/Rincon Waterfall called “Black pool”. Ideal place for a quick swim or that bit of rest.
As we reach at one of the junctions, we head further into the forest once again all along clean and clear terrain for another 45 minutes until we eventually come to a stream indicating to us that our destination is almost complete.
We then river trek along this stream.......yes, our shoes WILL get wet, so be prepared for this please. We river trek for just 8 more minutes until the waterfalls is in sight. Welcome to Chorro Water-Falls.
