Northern Range, Trinidad

Best time for this hike: January - December

Deep in the Northern Range mountain, at a secluded village "Morne La Croix", we first start our hike on flat road that will eventually veer us onto the nature trail into the forest where from here, it will be all downhill trekking for the next 40-45 minutes until we come to a very narrow ravine known as "Lemond River". Our water trek begins through shallow waters with a few small deep pools that will require some swimming, but for those not wanting to swim, we will have to carefully manuever ourselves along the rocks along the sides of the pools. This river trek will take about 1 hour or maybe more pending on the group's walking pace.

Reason for the name "Mystery Pool" is simply beacause out of nowhere along the river trek, we will first see a dark entrance to what appears to be a Gorge, but upon looking inside, here beholds a really beautiful pool with her dark and clear emerald green waters and a small waterfall at the head right before you. At last, we've reached our destination.

Life jackets will be provided upon request. Ropes and other safety devices will also be on hand.
